FAQ

"How long will it take to groom my dog?"

The length of time to groom a dog varies. It depends on breed, temperament, age, whether they are having their coat cut, what style they are having and the condition of their coat. They may be booked in for an appointment for an hour up to three hours, however in some cases may even exceed three hours. We will always take our time with your dog and will never rush a groom.

"What do you mean my dog is matted & has to be shaved off?! Can't you just brush them out or trim it a bit?"

Unfortunately we can't. When a dog has matted fur the kindest way is to shave the coat off and start again. The safest and only way for us to do this is by getting our blade under the matts to take them off, there is no way we can skim just the top off as the matts will still be there and will continue getting worse. In some cases we may advise you to take your dog to their vet.

"How much will it cost?"

Again, this varies depending on breed, temperament, age, coat condition and styling. Our prices are always quoted 'from' with the price given when we have met your dog and gone through your requirements. However, please note that the final price may change throughout the groom, for example if we notice that your dog has fleas and requires a flea treatment.

"My dog has fleas, can they still be groomed?"

The answer is yes! But please be considerate to our salon and other dogs by letting us know in advance. We can use a flea shampoo and a soothing after-bite treatment, these will help to get rid of the fleas but are NOT the same as using your usual flea treatment. It is advised that whilst your dog is with us that you clean their beds. An additional charge will apply.
